Size: up to 250 mm

Description: head and limbs are grey to olive with yellow stripes; carapace is tan to olive with yellow reticulation sometimes with yellow vertebral stripes

Habitat: permanent freshwater bodies, irrigation canals and brackish water

Activity: diurnal

Diet: plants, invertebrates and small vertebrates

Reproduction: oviparous
