Description: upperside coloration olive-gray with yellow, orange or red tint with a pattern of small dark and light spots and dark transverse stripes. Underside is pale yellow
Habitat: slow rivers, streams, marshes, swamps, flooded rice fields, ponds, lakes and ditches
Activity: nocturnal and diurnal
Diet: fish, frogs
Reproduction: oviparous
