Size: up to 1500 mm

Description: upperside coloration brown or grey with four longitudinal stripes and dark spots, on the top of the head there is a dark spot, a dark stripe extends from the eye along the side of the head

Habitat: forests, meadows, wetlands, steppes, deserts, fields, marshes

Activity: diurnal

Diet: small vertebrates

Reproduction: oviparous
