Size: up to 170 mm
Description: upperside coloration varies greatly according to surroundings, but is generally light sandy gray with a pattern composed of a series of large whitish marks along dorsal mid-line interspersed with dark blotches. There are alternating dark and light bands on the tail. On the flanks there are dark and light round spots. Head with similar but smaller spotting.
Habitat: rocky habitats
Activity: nocturnal and diurnal
Diet: various invertebrates
Reproduction: oviparous
