Common name: the Round-tongued Floating Frog

Conservation status: Least Concern

Distribution: Cambodia, China, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam

Size: up to 25-35 mm

Description: upperside coloration varies from brown to grey often with orange or yellow stripe on the back or with two orange stripes behind the eyes

Habitat: subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, intermittent rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, ponds, irrigated land, canals and ditches

Activity: nocturnal

Diet: various invertebrates

Reproduction: breeding period lasts from February to November. Eggs are laid into the water
