Size: up to 50-65 mm
Description: upperside coloration brown or grey with dark brown or green spots and often with orange or yellow stripe on the back. Skin is tubercuate. Throat of male usually with two large black blotches
Habitat: open wet habitat types, including river floodplains, rice fields, ditches, marshes, parks, gardens and in closed-canopy forest
Activity: nocturnal
Diet: various invertebrates
Reproduction: breeding period lasts throughout monsoon season
